LUC VINCENT - BIOGRAPHY
Luc Vincent is a master of hairstyling and a reference in his field, known for his unmatched expertise in makeovers, particularly in cutting and coloring. His exceptionally bright career began at a young age as he watched with fascination his mother, a self-taught hairdresser, transform the hair of the neighbors. This formative experience ignited in him, years later, a passion that would transform his calling into an iconic career.
Rooted in family tradition, Luc enrolled in a hairdressing school where he excelled, earning his diploma with honors. But he didn’t stop there; determined to prove his talent, shortly after graduating from the academy, he participated in several prestigious international competitions, measuring himself against the industry's best. He stood out by winning prestigious competitions in Los Angeles. Luc Vincent quickly became a respected reference among his peers.
Recruited by a leading Californian hair care company, Luc rapidly climbed the ranks to become the artistic director for Quebec and joined the international team for new product testing, which greatly excited him. For over ten years, he educated and inspired thousands of hairdressers through conventions and international travels, while continuing to train at the most prestigious academies in Los Angeles, London, and Paris.
The pinnacle of his artistic career was marked by his selection by Cirque du Soleil to perform meticulous haircuts on custom wigs for the artists of the iconic show "O" in Las Vegas. Luc discovered a new passion for hair product chemistry when he began collaborating with a Canadian hair product company, working alongside chemists in the laboratory to create revolutionary hair products that transformed the industry.
Luc Vincent is not just limited to hairstyling; he is also an accomplished entrepreneur. Owning two hair salons, he became a prominent figure on Quebec television thanks to the show "Airoldi pour une sortie" on Canal Vie, where he was dubbed the "king of transformations" for his incredible makeovers of more than 500 participants in five years.
Concurrently, in 2010, Luc published "Pas de quoi s’arracher les cheveux" at the request of Éditions La Presse. The book became a true bible of hairstyling aimed at helping women style themselves at home. This publication propelled him onto the media scene, where he became a hair columnist for radio and television stations, as well as renowned magazines.
With a rich and diverse career, Luc Vincent extends his ambitions beyond hairstyling. He created the workshop "Seul mon coiffeur le sait" in partnership with a psychologist, offering training for hairdressers to prepare them to address psychological distress in their clients. His philanthropic commitment is also evident through the opening of a non-profit salon, "Luc mon coiffeur," in Canada’s oldest housing facility for vulnerable women, Le Chaînon.
In recognition of his exceptional dedication to the community, Luc Vincent received the Canadian John Steinberg Award in 2020.
Now that he has founded one of the most successful hair care companies in Canada, Luc continues with the same mission: to create products that not only solve hair problems but also empower women to style themselves and gain independence from their hairstylists. His exceptional journey continues to inspire, embodying the soul of an artist with a big heart and limitless creativity.
